Puffiness and dark circles around the eyes are sure signs that you’re starting to get a bit older. Those bags or dark circles under the eyes are often thought to appear when we don’t get enough sleep. In fact they’re caused by to many toxins not being able to escape the area around the eye. When those toxins build up the blood in the area begins to break down and the pigmentation changes. Pigmented blood is difficult for the body to break down. It occurs slowly if at all, this is why those circles seem to never go away.

Getting Rid of Cellulite:What are my Options?

There are options when you struggle with cellulite. Living with those pesky dimples isn’t the only alternative. In fact there are several procedures and topical cellulite lotions that can work to reduce the appearance of cellulite on your body. Let’s take a look at some of those procedures now.

Non Topical Treatments

There are two main clinic type treatment methods for cellulite. The first is mesotherapy. Mestherapy is the process of using nutrient rich micro injections to the skin where cellulite is an issue. The injections are performed by a qualified technician and there are few side effects. Most patients after a session can return to work the same day with some mild soreness and possibly bruising.

The second treatment method is Endermologie®. Like Mesotherapy, Endermologie® must also be performed by a trained professional. Rather then injections a small massage machine with slight suction and two rollers is used. The tissue is rolled between the two rollers and the connective tissues are stretched. This stretching of the connective tissues leaves your skin appearing smooth and toned. Dimples are no longer visible.

Unfortunately with both of these treatments results is temporary and repeat sessions are required to continue results.

Topical treatment methods

There are several different cellulite removal creams available. From those at your local drug store to more expensive brands available at department stores and online. Not all cellulite creams deliver the same results. It’s important to take the time to consider the ingredients being used. Look for products that contain some form of caffeine and Retinol A. These key ingredients have been tested to reduce the appearance of cellulite.
